Invite
The meetgreen audio conference can be held with as many as 20 participants, including an administrator.
If you want to hold a conference with more participants, you can use our meetgreenPlus-rate which allows you to invite up to 35 persons to join your conference.
To participate in a conferencefrom abroad, we recommend using the meetgreenPlus-rate which includes 30 international access numbers.
Alternatively, you can forward the land line number +49 30 868 757 757² to participants who are located abroad.
An ics-file is a calendar file – clicking the file attachment allows you to automatically add the time and date of the audio conference to your calendar. It works with all programs that support ics formats, e.g. MS Outlook, Apple iCal, or Mozilla Thunderbird.
Dial-in
The participation via mobile phone is possible for all audio conference participants.
When the time and date of your conference has arrived, all participants can use one of the dial-in numbers which have been sent out to dial into the conference room. After a welcome message, you will be asked to enter the 7-digit PIN which you have received after your registration.
Be careful to check if your phone is set to Dual-Tone Multifrequency (DTMF), which enables keyboard entries via phone. (It is generally standard for modern telephones to be set to DTMF.)
After entering the correct PIN you will be rerouted to your audio conference. Should you be the first to join the conference room, you will hear music playing until another participant arrives.
To participate in a conference when you are out of the country, we recommend the meetgreenPlus-rate that includes 30 international access numbers.
Alternatively, you can forward the land line number +49 30 868 757 551² to participants who are located abroad.
As a meetgreen user you can dial into conferences by using the German dial-in number +49 30 868 757 551² or the donation number 01805 – 53 53 531.
Additionally, the meetgreenPlus plan allows you to use 30 international access numbers from the following countries:
Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brasil, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Hongkong, Hungary, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine, the USA (United States of America)
Conference Room
The meetgreen audio conference can be held with as many as 20 participants, including a moderator.
If you want to hold a conference with more participants, you can use our meetgreenPlus rate which allows you to invite up to 35 persons to join your conference.
A free audio conference ends when the last participant has disconnected.
A meetgreenPlus conference ends when the moderator has disconnected.
Your PIN will remain valid within our system for up to a year without usage.
We will delete the PIN automatically if the free audio conference room remains inactive for more than 12 months. In this case you will receive an email reminder beforehand. You can always request a new PIN by signing up on our website again.
With the meetgreenPlus rate your PIN is valid as long as your contract is active. You can check your PIN and other details on your personal customer portal at all times.
With the free rate of meetgreen audio conferences start with an interactive mode. This means that all participants can speak. Because of this, it is important to make sure that the phone call is conducted in a quiet room because background noise can potentially disrupt the transmission.
If your phone is set to Dual-Tone Multifrequency (DTMF), participants can mute their line using the key command *6 to mute and unmute their line.
With the conference manager tool which can be found via the customer portal, the moderator has the possibility to mute participants.
Costs
The meetgreen audio conference service can be accessed via a free landline dial-in 030 – 868 757 5512 and the donation number 01805 – 53 53 531 which is linked to a small fee. Using the landline causes the same costs as a local call to Berlin. If you have a telephone flat-rate the calls will be free of charge.
Important note for 1&1- customers: 1&1 bills “connections to service providers that use geographical landlines” with 2,9 cents/ minute (VAT included). These costs become effective even when 1&1 connects the customer with our free meetgreen access number.
Important note for E-Plus und o2-customers: These providers seriously “limit” the accessibility of the free meetgreen dial-in landline – it may even be impossible to join an audio conference at all. Furthermore, o2 currently bills 9 cents/minute (VAT included) for connections via the meetgreen land line, as it is not treated as a standard domestic call (which means that it is not included in landline flatrates).
Important note for Vodafone-customers: If you are using Vodafone, your audio conference may be interrupted after 30 minutes, requiring you to dial-in once more.
The donation number costs 14 cents per minute (VAT included) if you are calling from a German landline. If you use a mobile network provider, rates may vary. Please contact your provider to find out more about their rates in cases such as these.
For each conference participant who uses the donation number, 1 cent per minute will be donated to German environmental projects.
Users of meetgreenPlus are billed a monthly rate of 14.90 €. This rate counts for each conference room that is created by a meetgreenPlus user. A donation rate of 1€ per month/ per conference room will be collected and donated to German environmental projects.
The rates our customers pay for our service are listed on their phone bills. Each conference participant pays their own connection rate. You will not receive a bill from meetgreen.
