About Mellifera e. V.
Mellifera e. V. has been pioneering ecological beekeeping since 1985 with their own research projects at the beekeeping institute Fischermühle (Demeter) which focuses on teaching and research. Over the years, the association has successfully initiated and launched various projects regarding the complex topic of bee-human-nature. Mellifera e. V. introduces children and teenagers into the fascinating world of bees and advocates for the expansion and improvement of pollinating insect habitats and available food resources. The association trains beekeepers and supports ecological and species-appropriate beekeeping.
Bees, Humans, and Nature in Harmony: Mellifera e. V. relies on audio conferences with meetgreen
Founded in 2008, meetgreen is committed to making eco-friendly and free audio conferences available for charities and non-profit organizations in Germany. Conscious of the limited financial resources of these institutions, meetgreen is designed to support and has already made conferences with up to 20 participants possible for over 60,000 institutions and users.
In 2017 Mellifera e. V. decided to join meetgreen and its eco-friendly goals. Searching for a way to hold audio conferences free of charge, Mellifera found meetgreen which made an impression because of its user-friendly interface. Weekly conference meetings within the Germany-wide “network of blooming landscapes” have become a firm part of their schedule and add one more to the various initiatives which Mellifera e. V. is coordinating.
While the “network of blooming landscapes” promotes better food resources for bees, “bees at school” is an education project targeted at children and teenagers. Audio conferences which are free of charge support these projects, make communication easier, and also don’t strain the budget.
